These terms apply to the UmiRead app for iPhone, iPad and Mac. They're short, and written to be read.
1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing or using UmiRead you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. License
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use UmiRead on Apple devices you own or control. You receive the right to use the app, not ownership of it.
3. Purchases
UmiRead is distributed through the App Store, and Apple handles all payments, including in-app purchases. We have no access to your payment details. Refunds are decided by Apple under its own policies; see Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
4. Acceptable use
Save articles for your own reading, and respect the copyright of their authors and the rules of the websites you save from. Don't reverse-engineer, decompile, resell or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.
5. Your data
UmiRead works on your device and syncs only through your own private iCloud. Your articles, highlights and notes are not sent to us. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
6. No warranty
UmiRead is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't promise that it will be free of errors or always available, or that every article can be saved.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of UmiRead. Liability for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health remains unaffected.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using UmiRead after an update, the new terms apply.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence remain unaffected.
